DescriptionELC Omaha Region, in partnership with the EDN Planning Region Teams from Bellevue Public Schools (20), ESU #3 (3), Millard Public Schools (21) and Papillion LaVista Community Schools (23), is hosting three online professional learning sessions focused on early literacy.  Each session has its own "theme" and registration is for individual sessions.

Diversity:
Young children might not understand the markers of social justice but they do understand fairness, fear, exclusion, and kindness. Diverse children’s books are a great tool for discussing race, gender, or differing abilities. There are many land mines and we will look at how to avoid the traps and instead celebrate the differences with quality books.
