DescriptionTo a young child, a single tree can feel like an entire forest, and one flower might spark the imagination of a whole prairie. No matter where you're located—even in the heart of urban Omaha—nature offers rich opportunities for hands-on learning and discovery.

In this interactive workshop, you'll explore engaging activities from Project Learning Tree’s nationally acclaimed environmental education curriculum, Explore your Environment: Activity Guide. You'll learn how to turn simple nature walks into meaningful learning experiences that support physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development in young children. While the activities are designed with children ages 3–8 in mind, the workshop is open to anyone working with young learners.

Participants will receive a comprehensive curriculum guide filled with ready-to-use lessons and activities plus practical tips and fun strategies for incorporating neighborhood nature walks into your weekly routine at your program. Join us and discover how a stroll around the block can become a world of wonder for your students!
