Description | | The 10th Anniversary Early Literacy Conference will celebrate literacy in all
its forms! Story time is one of the richest learning experiences in an early childhood program. This year’s conference will explore the many
benefits of story time, demonstrate how to embrace storytelling with and without books,
and identify ways early childhood educators and child care providers can
energize story time with activities that spark imagination and cultivate skills
in multiple areas of child development. In addition, of course, participants will be introduced to some great
new books (and revisit a few old favorites). Join us to answer the question: How can we make story time the best part of the day?
Presenters: Isabel Baker, Founding Director, and Amy Vandament, President, The Book
Vine for Children and Susan McWilliams, retired associate
professor of early childhood, UNO College of Education and author of Beyond
the Flannel Board, and Brenda Saxe, early childhood consultant. |
