Description | | Target Audience: Educators working with children ages 1 to 5 in the Omaha Region.
Young children use their behavior as a form of communication and sometimes those messages can be challenging. When it comes to understanding challenging behavior, early childhood educators need to “know their audience” (have age appropriate expectations), prioritize relationship building, create an environment where children are set up for success, and focus on the intentional teaching of skills young children need to know to interact and get along with others. These sessions will present information to help participants deeply examine challenging behavior and will include application assignments and resources to support continued active use of the information.
