| Description | | Children need to learn to share so they can make and keep friends, play cooperatively, take turns, negotiate and cope with disappointment. Well, just like infants cannot learn to walk until they are physically ready, children cannot learn to share until they are socially ready. And when children opt not to share something, we often view that as a sign of selfishness. During this session, discussion will focus on understanding the stages of sharing, how to support young children in learning this skill, and encouraging adults to look at sharing from a different perspective. |
