Description | | Research shows that 80% of a child's brain development occurs within the first 1,000 days of life! Caregivers and educators of infants and toddlers must have an understanding of how to promote brain development during this critical period. The 2023 Infant Toddler Symposium: Brains in Bloom! will focus on how a young child's brain is a lot like a garden in that there are basic needs to be addressed if you want it to grow healthy and strong.
The Symposium will feature “the what” and “the why” but also introduce ideas on “how to” support optimal brain growth and development. From preparing the soil (environment) to making sure you have the appropriate tools, planting the right seeds (experiences) then providing the essential nutrients (meeting needs), participants will leave the day ready to be an important part of supporting brains in bloom!
