Description | | During this 2-part session, attendees will be provided an overview of characteristics for young children including facts and myths of Autism; learn information and examples of social, communication, behavioral, developmental, and sensory characteristics and how to document observations of concern; plus identify steps child care providers can take if they have concerns about a child’s development.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) resources and supports available to strengthen work with young children and strategies to address common issues when integrating children with Autism into a community based program will also be shared.
This training is for those working with children ages 2-8 and being presented by staff of the Metro Region ASD Network in partnership with ELC Omaha Region. |
