Description

Early childhood professionals understand creating a caring environment with visual supports, routines, intentionally teaching social skills, and effective planning are critical. When young children are engaging in undesired behaviors, educators and providers just want it to stop. This session will encourage participants to focus on the ‘why’ and not the ‘what’ of behavior and cover:
... Understanding the ABCs of behavior and how to use them to implement behavior change strategies
... Learning proactive behavior strategies to reduce problem behavior
... Identifying responses to tantrums and meltdowns when they are already happening
