DescriptionProfessional Development can be hit or miss. Sometimes people walk away from a session energized and excited to do something new or differently or better, other times people walk away thinking: “Well, at least there was free pizza.”

This half-day session is intended to help you consistently design and deliver professional development that can excite and inspire early learning professionals to want to take your content or practices and put them to use as soon as they can. During this half-day session, you will:
     > Explore how principles of adult learning and dialogue education can transform your philosophy about training design,
     > Figure out what makes the difference between professional development that is “engaging” versus “effective”,
     > Be able to connect your learning objectives and outcomes with appropriate activities,
     > Use a training activity “Cookbook” to design an engaging and effective professional development session,
     > Discover some of the secrets to making training “stick.”
